Material Properties

Zirconium, also known as sponge zirconium, is a silver gray metal with luster; Melting point 1852 ℃, boiling point 4377 ℃, insoluble in water. It has corrosion resistance and is soluble in hydrofluoric acid and aqua regia. At high temperature, it can react with non-metallic elements and many metal elements to form solid solutions. Zirconium easily absorbs hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen; Zirconium has a strong affinity for oxygen. Oxygen dissolved in zirconium at 1000 ℃ can significantly increase its volume. Zirconium is relatively stable in air; Powdered zirconium is easy to burn. The fine zirconium wire can be ignited with a match, and can be directly combined with dissolved oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen at high temperature.

Raw Material

Milling

Forging
