Molybdenum plate
Material Properties
Molybdenum has a melting point of 2610ºC, a boiling point of 5560°C, a density of 10.2g/cm³,and it is insoluble in water and belongs to the fifth period element, with an atomic radius of 139pm and an electronegativity of 2.16. It is a silvery white shiny metal in appearance. It has good electrical and thermal conductivity, low expansion coefficient and high strength at high temperature (1100 ~ 1650 ℃). Compared with tungsten, it is easy to process. Therefore, it has been applied in high-temperature furnaces, electronic tubes, electric light sources, metal processing tool manufacturing departments and aerospace industry. Molybdenum is resistant to corrosion by molten glass, and its oxides do not pollute the glass. Molybdenum has been used in the glass industry as heating electrodes and as sputtering target for solar cell and flat panel display coatings.Craftsmanship
